Living the Resurrection Promise “He is risen!” But what does that mean? The short answer is it means everything in life is about taking the long view. The resurrection tells us that no matter what happens in the here and now, there is something more for us. We are in the season of Easter, the six-week period between Easter Sunday and Pentecost. To guide us in answering the question, “what does it mean?” I am preaching a sermon series during this season titled, “Living the Resurrection Promise.” Each week during this season of Easter, I will preach from the letter of First Peter as a way to orient us toward living the resurrection promise.
